I lived in the Bay Area from 2019 to 2024, accompanying my husband on his assignment and experiencing a local career transition. I have since returned to Japan.

Through the journey of embracing change and reflecting on my career, I learned the importance of stepping out of my comfort zone and not rushing to conclusions. These insights were largely inspired by the connections and experiences I had through JWIBA.

Drawing on my experience as a core member of JWIBA's 2024 leadership team, I am now serving as a Japan-side committee member in 2025, with a focus on strengthening ties between JWIBA and Japan.

With the unique perspective of someone who has returned to Japan, I hope to help create a space where repatriated members can continue to stay connected in a relaxed and supportive way. If you’re planning to return to Japan or are already back, please feel free to reach out!
