Accounting
I moved to the Bay Area in June 2022, accompanying my husband’s overseas assignment, and am currently based near San Jose. I’m a certified public accountant (CPA).
In Japan, I worked in finance and business alliances at manufacturing and tech companies. After relocating to the U.S., I left my job and have since been working in finance for Japanese companies and venture capital firms. In my free time, I enjoy visiting national parks and hiking.
I first came across JWIBA during a time when I was struggling with job hunting in the Bay Area, where I didn’t know many people. I joined a summit hosted by JWIBA, and it was incredibly encouraging to find a community where I could share and relate to challenges I had been carrying alone—wanting to continue working, wanting to stay connected to society, but not knowing where to begin.
Whether in Japan or the U.S., I believe no one should have to give up on something just because they’re a woman. I want to help create a world where we can all enjoy our work and lives in our own way. Through JWIBA, I’m committed to supporting others as we move forward together.
