In August 2024, I relocated to Berkeley, California, accompanying my husband on his overseas assignment.

Back in Japan, I worked as a sales assistant at a general trading company and later as a recruiter at a consulting firm. I resigned upon moving to the U.S., and I’m currently exploring my career path while remotely supporting companies with their recruitment efforts. My passions include scuba diving and traveling.

After stepping away from the fast-paced work life and relocating to the Bay Area—where I knew no one—I experienced a sense of loss and uncertainty. But when I joined a JWIBA event, I was warmly welcomed by so many members, which gave me great encouragement and comfort.

I believe many of us face uncertainties and concerns about life abroad and our future careers. I hope to contribute by helping others find meaningful connections and fresh perspectives through this community—so that life in the Bay Area and beyond can be a little more enjoyable and empowering.
